I'm a country girl who greatly values the peacefulness and solitude of farm life. Of course, times change, and many properties near mine have been subdivided with city folk moving in. Some of these hobby farmers have come up with fabulous, niche business ideas. I guess I've become a bit of a mentor to the "blockies" who have plenty of enthusiasm but sometimes lack the know-how. Recently, I held an informal training session at the local hall to discuss tree problems that have emerged in the district.
